We specialise in treating head lice by targeting the full scientific lifecycle of the louse. Our approach is thorough, methodical, and clinically driven.
We carry out a three-stage forensic process:
Throughout the treatment, our clinicians carefully track the volume and lifecycle stage of the lice to ensure nothing is missed.
Because lice eggs can hatch after the initial treatment, we schedule a follow-up appointment 7–10 days later. This allows us to remove any newly hatched lice that may not have been visible during the first visit.
Thanks to this precise, forensic approach, we achieve a 100% success rate and we stand behind it with a guarantee.
Head lice are most commonly spread through direct contact, particularly head-to-head contact. For example, when taking selfies or during close play.
They can also spread indirectly when personal items such as hats, scarves, or coats are placed together, such as on school coat racks, or when children are sitting close to one another at desks.
Lice move quickly! Approximately 23 cm per minute, which is nearly the length of a standard 30 cm school ruler. This makes it easy for them to transfer from one person to another.
Each female louse only needs to mate once and can then lay between 3–10 eggs per day for around 17–20 days. This means an infestation can grow rapidly if not treated promptly.
Due to the lifecycle of head lice, a minimum of two appointments is essential to ensure complete removal.
During the first appointment, we eliminate all visible live lice and as many eggs as possible using our detailed, forensic process. However, some eggs can be extremely small or newly laid, making them difficult to detect at this early stage.
These eggs can hatch several days later, which is why a second appointment is required 7–10 days after the initial treatment. This allows us to remove any newly hatched lice before they are mature enough to reproduce.
By timing the second treatment in line with the lice lifecycle, we break the cycle completely. This ensures the infestation is fully cleared and cannot restart.
